There are currently over 14,180 vacancies in this year’s OPEPA Sikshya Sahayak Recruitment board. The last date for online application is up (30-8-2013), if you haven’t applied yet for OPEPA 2013, you will have to wait till next year. Odisha’s Education Ministry has constituted a exclusive authority, named as Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) to ensure that the state achieves all the goals enlisted by the Universal Elementary Education (UEE). It basically tackles the poor literacy rate in our country.
OPEPA is held responsible for the progression of elementary educational institutions in the state. It ensures that every child, irrespective of gender, caste, ability, religion should receive proper education. For realizing this goal, it develops elementary schools and recruits qualified teachers and assistants, provides aids, scholarships and incentives for the students to encourage them join schools.
In order to be completely eligible for the post of Sikshya Sahayak, aspiring candidate must meet the follow requirements.
Age
The current upper age limit for OPEPA Recruitment is 35 years. Limit Relaxation is based on State Government Regulations.
Education
Candidate must be a 10+2 passout or equivalent. He should possess a diploma in Elementary Education with a minimum of 50% aggregate including a 1 year Bachelor of Education Degree. The candidate must also clear the II-Category Odisha Teachers Eligibility test.
Recruitment Procedure
The Recruitment procedure is completely based on the merit list. An interview might also be conducted for the short listed merit candidates.
